Shipping
- What carriers do you use?
I ship by UPS and the USPS. Most items are insured—the only exception is the Kinetic Sculpture Race book, as the author has opted to lower the shipping costs in exchange for having to lose money on lost shipments.
When you estimate shipping in the shopping basket, the cost is the cheaper of the two carriers. When you go to Google Checkout, you'll have to option of selecting either carrier so that if you have a preference, you can choose the more expensive carrier.
Local folks also have the option at checkout time of choosing to pick up their order. Jellybug Artworks is in Greenbelt, MD, but I'm frequently in the Fells Point area of Baltimore, so pickup can be arranged in that vicinity also.
- How long will my order take to get to me?

If you order an item that is in stock, I'll ship it ASAP, often the next business day.
I ship UPS Ground and USPS Priority Mail. If you choose UPS, the map on the right will show you how many days it will take your package to travel from us to you. Delivery takes up to 6 business days for anywhere in the US, including Alaska and Hawaii. If you choose the USPS, delivery time is 2-3 business days for anywhere in the US, including Alaska and Hawaii.
- How much will it cost?
Shipping cost is determined by the carrier (UPS or USPS) based on how much your purchase weighs and costs (for insurance). You can get a shipping estimate by clicking the view basket link that appears at the top of the left side of the screen once you've placed items in your basket, and when you get to the checkout page, you'll see exact shipping charges for both methods before you place your order.
- Can I change my shipping address after I order?
Certainly—if we haven't shipped your order yet, just with your order number and the new shipping address.
- Can I pick up my order instead of having it shipped?
If you enter a shipping address in Maryland, or an adjacent state, on the Google Checkout page, then one of the shipping options will be free local pickup. Jellybug Artworks is in Greenbelt, MD, but I'm frequently in the Fells Point area of Baltimore, so pickup can be arranged in that vicinity also.
- Can I return an item?
I want you to be delighted with your purchase.
If you're not, I'll be happy to refund the purchase price of your item. Please for the return shipping address, then ship the item in a box or padded envelope.
When I receive your package, I'll issue your refund through the method by which you paid. Please insure your package, as I can't be responsible for the loss of or damage to items during return shipping. The original shipping charges will not be refunded, but there is no restocking fee.

- Where is my order?
Enter your Google order number below. If you don't have your order number handy, you can enter your email address and billing zip code.
- Do I have to buy right away?
Take your time! If you place an item in your shopping basket, it will stay there (on your computer—if you use a different computer, your shopping basket won't be available) even if you don't come back to the store for up to a month.
- Is my contact information secure?
Definitely. Google sends me your contact information so that I can ship your order to you and send you email about it, but this information is transmitted over an encrypted connection (industry-standard SSL encryption) to keep it safe from evildoers. I will never, ever share your personal data with anyone.
- Is my credit card number safe?
I never receive your credit card number. It stays safe with Google, and Google stores it on a secure server. You can read more about account information safety in the Google Checkout help.
- Is Google Checkout safe?
Yes—that's why I chose to use it. Google stores your account data on their secure servers, and any data they send us comes over an encrypted connection (industry-standard SSL encryption) to keep it safe from evildoers. - Can I pick up my order instead of having it shipped?

- Can I change my shipping address after I order?
Certainly. It won't be reflected in your Google Checkout account, but if I haven't shipped your order yet, I'll be happy to ship it somewhere else. Simply the new address to which you'd like your order to be shipped.
- Can I switch to a different credit card after I order?
Google does not allow re-entry of credit card data unless the card is declined (in which case, they'll email you). If you wish to pay with a different card, I can cancel your order, and you can place a new one. If I haven't shipped your order yet, then simply to have your order cancelled.
- Why don't you accept PayPal?
I intend to. For now, please visit my Etsy shop if you'd prefer to purchase with Paypal.

Certainly! My gift certificates can be purchased in any dollar amount and spent on my website or in person at craft shows. They never expire, and you can have them delivered via email or regular mail to you or to your recipient. There is no shipping charge for gift certificates.

- How long will it take to make my made-to-order item?
For jewelry, typically only a day or two. If I'm out of one of the materials and can't replenish my supply locally, getting a new shipment in requires at least a week. If that is the case, I'll definitely let you know. Custom glass pieces take at least a few days due to the lengthy kiln time.
- Can you customize an item I saw on the website?

Back when I was in the stained glass business, I once produced seventy-five stained glass leaves as favors for wedding. They were hung on organza ribbon in various autumnal colors and used to decorate the tables, then the guests all chose one to take home.
These days, I make custom jewelry, altering a piece to someone's taste or inventing new pieces based on desired color schemes, styles or bead sizes.
Custom dinner plates are also a possibility!
